On January 4th, 2007, Steve Jobs presented the iphone for the very first time. At 4:50 minutes in, he prank called Starbucks to show off the groundbreaking GPS mapping features, saying:
“Yes, I’d like to order 4,000 lattes to go, please, No, just kidding. Wrong number. Goodbye!”
Since then, Apple fans have been pranking that Starbucks asking for 4,000 lattes! Fast Company has followed up with the barista who unknowingly answered Jobs’ call. Def worth a watch & a read. Such fun to watch this video & experience the nostalgia of hearing him say “widgets” vs apps etc!
Life goal: to be a real life Lichtenstein’s “Crying Girl.” Some day I’ll do this! Makeup by Karen Stone of MAC. For now, I’ll stick with simpler costumes! (Cleopatra or Rosie the Riveter— I haven’t decided!)

I sort of can’t believe this is real.
It’s not real! It’s a student project by Mandy Brencys but I hope Evian recognizes the explosion of conversation and contacts Mandy about making them real. They’ve been trending on Twitter with this and it’s rare for that sort of enthusiasm to come from any brand-generated initiative. It’s a nice chance for Evian to jump on and leverage this. Evian’s agencies Syndicate and Euro should really recognize that and make something of it!
I totally want these if they’re made real, but they do have a sort of childhood bath bubble bottle vibe. I’m sure Evian would retool slightly. I’d be pretty stoked about the R2D2 one, but I’m not sure how I feel about drinking water from Chewbacca?
Some of my stash back in the day, when Krylon was dat good good. Yes kids, Krylon had its days.
i completely adore these still life scenes. what an incredible way to create an immersion around the time and place of such glamour. we should do this for brands as an exercise in focusing on their key aesthetic as it fits into the life of users.
For V73 The Heroes Issue, V create still life scenes in honor of the style and spirit of Elizabeth Taylor. Here,Suddenly, Last Summer (1959). V73 The Heroes Issue is on sale September 8th.
